Welcome to our Verona Collection of earrings! These hand engraved earrings are gorgeous and one of a kind. They are handmade in Guatemala by an artisan with alpaca silver (an alloy made with nickel, zinc and copper to resemble silver) The resulting color is unique (almost a pewter) - see picture comparing the color to a pure silver earring. The details of the hand carving on each design is magnificent.
The earrings are in the shape of the Guatemalan national bird, the quetzal. It has very special meaning for the Guatemalan people even though sadly the bird is endangered.
Because the earrings are delicately handmade, they are not 100% identical.
